Progressive Children’s Programming (Or Not)

“Mrs. R.? Have you seen Sweeney Todd?”

This today from a precocious six-year-old in my class. Seriously? Sweeney Todd?

It’s not uncommon for kids in my school to watch horror movies at home. They can tell you all about Freddie and Jason. But this is a new one on me.

My response? “If you like Sweeney Todd, you’ll love Les Miserables.”

That’s right. Keeping it literate up in here.
